03 Jun Grants for innovative climate change projects in developing countries
The Nordic Climate Facility (NCF) offers grants between EUR 250,000 and 500,000 for innovative climate change projects in developing countries. NCF financing is allocated on a competitive basis with application rounds arranged annually. At least one of the project partners should be an organisation registered in a Nordic country.
The next application round will be open from 5 June to 5 September 2019. A webinar is arranged on 13 June 2019 with more information about the facility as well as tips for applying. Register to the webinar here.
NCF provides project financing for climate-related business ideas. A printable brochure.
The objective of the projects should be to test whether a climate solution is sustainable from technical, financial, environmental and social perspectives. The projects should have positive development impacts, for example through stimulating entrepreneurship, creating jobs and other income-generating opportunities or reducing poverty in the project country. It is important that the project contributes towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. More information: www.nordicclimatefacility.com.
